My Story…
I am running for Girls Inc of Northern Alberta. As a mom of 2 girls, I know just how important this program is to our community. Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. They have been operating in the Wood Buffalo region since 1979; first as Big Sisters Society before becoming affiliated with Girls Incorporated in 2004, ensuring a girls only environment.
Girls Inc. delivers life-changing programs that are preventative, comprehensive, transformational and evidence based. They strive to equip girls to achieve academically; lead healthy and physically active lives; manage money; navigate media messages; and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.
