Help Jen raise money

For participating in Barkapalooza

My Story…

Thank you for visiting my Barkapalooza fundraising page. This year, I am raising funds in honor of my forever foster cat, Firecracker.  He and the rest of his litter were found outside.  They were all hissy-spitty kittens, but the foster home worked hard to socialize them.  When they were old enough to come back to the shelter for adoption, Firecracker was not doing as well as his siblings and was losing weight.  Soon, his eyes started to get cloudy.  After testing and vet visits, it was determined that he had FIP.  In the past, FIP was a deadly disease for cats, but now there are treatments available.

Luckily, West Suburban Humane Society never turns their back on an animal in need.  They coordinated life-saving treatment for Firecracker and provided everything needed for his care while in a foster home.

Now he's a happy, healthy boy with 3 other cats and 2 dogs in the home.  It's a full house but he definitely stands out in the crowd!  I'm so proud to be a part of such an amazing organization that provides "rescue care beyond compare."

Description

The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a private, volunteer-based, animal welfare organization that was founded in 1972 and is 100% funded by individuals, our business partners and private grants. Since our inception we have found forever homes for more than 31,000 animals, and strive to be a community resource for all pet owners.
We want to save as many lives as we can but we need your help!  Our adoption fee does not cover the testing, de-worming, vaccinations, spay/neutering and microchipping WSHS provides these pets, not to mention food, litter, pee pads and other supplies our animals need!
  • Just $25 will microchip 5 animals
  • $50 will feed all the animals in our shelter one meal
  • $100 will cover the cost to spay or neuter one animal
  • $250 will contribute to the medical care for one of our animals needing extra care
  • $500 will cover the cost of one animal in our shelter
