My Story…
From the west coast of B.C., my passion for the conservation of grasslands was born. Growing up on Vancouver Island, I spent most of my time in the mountains or on the ocean. So what has led me to trade in orcas for muskies? .....good question. As much as I love my home, temperate grasslands host are packed with biodiversity and help to mitigate climate change, yet are the most endangered ecosystem on the planet. With the NCC Manitoba team, I get to work with the people on the landscape who manage these habitats and species and be inspired by them every day!
From August 25-27 I will be participating in Paddle for Nature, with the goal of raising $750 to help continue the work of the NCC Manitoba & Saskatchewan team for the conservation of these grasslands and the species that rely on them.
If you are coming here from B.C. or Manitoba (or anywhere in between), thank you!
