My Story…
We are doing this fundraising and Run for the Mind in memory of my sister, Carrie, who died by suicide at 36.
NAMI DuPage provides peer-led support for those living with mental health conditions. Other services include support for those living with a dual diagnosis of mental health and substance use disorder and support and connections for those who are court involved.
Those services could have been life-changing for my sister, as her story touched all those systems. And the support for our family could have been invaluable.
