10th Annual Richard’s Father's Day Walk & Jog 2023
A family-friendly walk or jog from Ulele out and back along the Tampa Riverwalk.
(Online registration is closed. You can still register in person Sunday at 7 a.m. for $35. PLEASE NOTE: Shirts in Large and Extra Large sizes are in high demand and may not be available to late registrants Sunday.)
Help us fight cancer on June 18 at 8 a.m., starting at the Tampa restaurant Ulele on the Tampa Riverwalk as we walk or jog a 5K or 1-mile course.
All proceeds go to Moffitt Cancer Center. As always, the Gonzmart Family Foundation pays every expense and we donate all sponsorship and registration fees.
In the nine years of this event, we have donated $915,000 to Moffitt, even including a restricted COVID year.
This is a non-timed, family-friendly live event (free for children under 12) on the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk. Registration includes a free Dri-fit race shirt (while supplies last).
We encourage parents to bring their children (it's free for those 12 and under) and stroll together or pick up the pace and run a little. We anticipate between 500-600 participants. For the second year, we'll have a limited number of "dog run" registrations for canine participants.
Afterward, we’ll provide some breakfast grab ‘n’ go for our registered participants.
The work Moffitt does in Tampa is lifesaving and life changing. They employ nationally recognized specialists – the best in their fields – dedicated to a cure.

Key Things To Know
The 10th annual Richard’s Father’s Day Walk & Jog is Sunday, June 18, starting and ending at the Ulele restaurant in Tampa Heights, 1810 North Highland Ave.
Shirt and bib pickup and late registration on June 18 starts at 7 a.m. at Ulele, and the race starts promptly at 8 a.m.
Park on nearby streets or in designated lots, including the Bush Ross legal building on Highland across from Ulele. Watch for signs and our parking attendants.
We’ll provide water and other drinks on the course as well as at the start and the finish. Consider carrying your water with you either by hand or via a hydration pack.
We’ll also provide some breakfast grab ‘n’ go afterward for our registered participants.
We do take late registrations in person from 7-8 a.m. on June 18.
We have special guests planned for pre-race activities. Come early and enjoy the beautiful setting.
A note about weather: We've had great conditions for the first nine years of this event and we're hopeful that will continue. Should we have issues with lightning or other severe weather that could cause postponement or cancellation of this event, it likely will happen too late to get that information to you. Please monitor your local TV news for the most current forecast.
With the assistance of our friends at The New Barker, we have added a canine component to this event. However, they must be registered. Instead of a race shirt, we’ll provide a bright blue bandana to designate them as official participants on the course.
Pick up your official bandana and check in starting at 7 a.m. on Sunday, June 18. Owners will line up with their dogs behind the runners and start at 8:15 a.m.
Participation is limited both by number and by well-behaved humans, who assume full responsibility for their dogs. No puppies under four months old. No females in heat. Dogs must be current on rabies vaccination.
For safety reasons, dogs must be on a non-retractable leash not to exceed 6’.
Event organizers reserve the right to eject any aggressive or obviously ill dogs.
Please clean up after your dog and keep your dog hydrated.
