My Story…
Friends,
Thank you for taking time to visit my Tour de Turns fundraising page. I have been involved with the event since 2019 as a cyclist, volunteer, and general enthusiast. As you can see in my photo (father by my side, kids scattered about), the Walts are intergenerational participants. My company (Regions Bank) is the title sponsor.
Tour de Turns donates 100% of proceeds to 501(c)(3) nonprofit Loaves & Fishes / Friendship Trays to “Help Turn the Corner On Local Hunger” in Charlotte.
In June, Loaves & Fishes / Friendship Trays provided a week’s worth of groceries to 10,850 people, up 28% from last year and one of the highest totals in the organization’s 48-year history. The elevated volume reveals that local food insecurity, exacerbated by the pandemic, continues to worsen.
Please help me do something about it by smashing that donate button.
With gratitude,
Matt
