Help us raise money

Please help us to raise $$ to fight Breast Cancer and support those that are battling this disease.  

On October 7th, we will be walking in the 5k Breast Cancer Walk - Dewey Goes Pink, Kristen will be walking as a Survivor and Shannon and Emily as supporters.  Kristen is choosing to celebrate her first year being cancer free helping to raise $$ to help others fight  this disease.  Here is her story -  I had a lot of support from family and friends and healthcare professionals, and without that - I would not have made it through the fight.  In early May 2022 - I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma - early stage breast cancer, HER2 Triple Positive.  The next few days and weeks were a blur for sure filled with tests/scans/procedures/port placement.  The next 6 months were a mental and physical challenge as I completed 6 rounds of TCHP chemo treatments, followed by surgery in October and then 25 rounds of radiation in November and December 2022.  I completed my targeted therapy IV treatments in May 2023 a year after starting this fight.  I then turned my focus to starting a wellness journey, and trying to find myself again as I continue healing from all the drugs and treatments.  I still have a journey ahead of me, regular testing/scanning and hormone treatment therapy drugs for the next 5 years.  

But today, we are grateful for the success of the drugs and treatments that were available for Kristen.... we are also hopeful for the new tests/treatments that may become available in the future to help all that continue to worry, support and fight.
