Raise money for The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth

The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth provides a variety of programming for youth between the ages of 6 and 17 years of age including after school, vacation weeks and summer camp.

Programs include:

Licensed After School Program – Compass Zone: The Boys & Girls Club of Plymouth’s Compass Zone Program is a licensed after school program that promotes the social, cultural, character, and physical development of member youth ages 6 to 13, through tutored homework sessions, educational gym time, and game room activities. It is a State licensed as a School Aged Child Care (SACC) program and is regulated by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Both Compass Zone and Summer Camp follow the guidelines of OST (out-of-school-time) and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Smarter Fun Summer Camp: Camp should be fun…and ours is, but we have a greater goal. Our goal is to accomplish “Brain Gain” and reduce summer learning losses. Reading and enjoyable computation exercises, coupled with HYLAs (high yield learning activities), help keep members ready to resume school in the fall.

Character & Leadership Development: Helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to Club and community and celebrating our national heritage

Education & Career Development: Programs in this Core Program Area enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to every day situations and embrace technology to achieve success in a career.

Health & Life Skills: These initiatives develop young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.

Sports, Fitness & Recreation: These Club programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.

The Arts: Programs in this area enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing. Club Tech Digital Arts Suite and Festivals comprise our Club Tech’s self-directed Digital Arts Suite courseware consists of Web Tech (web page design), Design Tech (graphic design), Photo Tech (photo illustration) and Music Tech.

Specialized Teen Programs: These initiatives focus on meeting the significant and specific needs identified within Boys & Girls Clubs. Their broad scope complements several or all of our core program areas.
