I have always been passionate about helping others. But lately, I’ve been feeling a strong desire to do more. I want to step out of my comfort zone and make a bigger impact in the fight against homelessness. And that's why I decided to step into the ring.

I have always been interested in combat sports, but I’ve never had the courage to actually try it myself. However, when I  heard about a local charity event called "Fight to End Homelessness," I knew it was the perfect opportunity to challenge myself and make a difference at the same time.

The event is a charity boxing match where individuals train for 18 weeks to fight in the ring, with all proceeds going towards supporting organizations SUPPORTING 🥊 Youth Opportunities Unlimited YOU and Joan’s Place! 

Stepping into the ring is a huge step outside of my comfort zone. I’ve never been in a physical boxing fight before, and the idea of getting hit is intimidating. But i know that this is a small sacrifice compared to the struggles that homeless individuals face every day. I am determined to push through my fears and make a positive impact on their lives.

The organizers of the event are encouraging everyone to get involved in any way they can. Whether it's by attending the event, volunteering, or making a donation, there are many ways to support these two incredible charities. They are also providing daily updates on the journey leading up to the event, so be sure to stay tuned for all the latest news and information.

In the end, this charity boxing event is about more than just boxing. It's about coming together as a community to support those in need, and to make a difference in the lives of young people in the London, Ontario area. So mark your calendars for November 8th, 2023.
