About Our Charity
Children with severe autism grow into adults with severe autism. They don’t grow out of it, they just age out of help. All public funding for autism education ends at age 22. Our mission is to assist families with specialized day program tuition and transportation for their adult children, age 22 and over, with moderate to severe autism. The costs can exceed $50,000 a year, not even including the astronomical rates for private pay bus transportation.
My name is Suzanne Mitchell, and I am a long time autism mama bear, as well as the president and founder of Adult Autism Funding NFP, a 501(c)(3), tax exempt, public charity. This population is growing day by day, and they are in desperate need of our support. Adult Autism Funding was founded on nothing but the purest love and compassion for my own adult son, Joey. With that passion and commitment at the core, we are razor focused on providing assistance to countless families in need.
