My Story…
I am participating in a virtual 5k to benefit the charity ICP Care 501(c)(3), and would love the support of friends and family!
Spreading awareness of ICP further the community’s mission, so please share my donation page to anyone - anywhere! I am sharing a bit of my story below, to help people better understand why this mission is so close to my heart. If you'd like to know more about my experience, I am always open to sharing!
June is Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) month - a month where we honor and remember those we have lost and raise awareness by educating as many mothers and healthcare professionals as possible. I’m so incredibly grateful that my doctor tested me right away, put me on the right medication to treat the bile acids building up in my bloodstream. Education on ICP (or any rare pregnancy complication) is SO IMPORTANT, and I luckily had doctors who listened to my concerns and did what was needed to save Brandon’s life.
Brandon was worth every itch, every sleepless night, and every blood test. I’d do it all again just to see that cheeky smile. #ICPawareness #wortheveryitch #fighttheitchsavealife
