My Story…
I am participating for the second time in AZT in a Day, in which many participants each hike a passage, with the goal of covering the entire 800 miles of trail in a single day.
This annual fundraiser goes toward trail maintenance and upkeep. This is a special trail taking you through some of the most beautifully diverse landscape that the great state of Arizona has to offer. Please consider donating; I will be posting updates from my next section of trail covering Roosevelt Lake through the Four Peaks Wilderness to Hwy 87.
Description
AZT in a Day is an October tradition that engages the public to hike, bike, ride, or run the entire length of the Arizona Trail (AZT) from Mexico to Utah in one day. This 800-mile team challenge raises awareness and funds to fulfill the Arizona Trail Association's mission: to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the natural environment.
