My Story…
I became a stage IV metastatic breast cancer advocate after I learned about the disparity in funding for the disease through my best friend Jessica Moore's diagnosis. Jessica was only 32 years old at the time. I turned a feeling of helplessness into action, pairing with Jessica to learn more about the disease and to educate our local community through a family and friend formed organization, Moore Fight Moore Strong. Shortly after Jessica passed away at only 36 years old, I founded the #LightUpMBC campaign to honor her memory. It was important to Jessica to shine a light on the disease and to raise awareness and funding to help all living with MBC. This sparked the vision for the #LightUpMBC campaign. Through the help of family and friends and our amazing #LightUpMBC ambassador team, the campaign has grown larger than I could have ever imagined. I am so honored to be hosting a #LightUpMBC Fun Run in our great state of NH in Jessica’s memory and be a part of team Moore Fight Moore Strong.
