Our story…
Hello! We are Courageous Conner’s Crusaders.from Overland Park, Kansas.
Our son Conner was diagnosed by chance at the age of 4 at the beginning of the pandemic. He had cerebral involvement at diagnosis and had to go to immediate transplant.
We were living in Canada at the time where there are no ALD Specialists and they could not provide any timeline to treatment.
We turned to Dr. Troy Lund at the University of Minnesota who generously and compassionate guided our family through transplant.
Conner has had the best possible outcome we could have hoped for and this is because of the amazing work being done by Dr. Lund and his lab.
Every day, the Lund Lab is working tireless to make transplant more efficient and safer. They are also working tenaciously to find options for families who come to a later diagnosis.
Our family is passionate about supporting this work. We want every ALD Boy to have the best possible outcome!!!
