Our story…
Our family is coming together to embark on this inaugural Red Shoe Shuffle in support of RMHC Toronto. We’re asking our family, friends, and community to show their support of us and the incredible work of this organization by donating towards our team.
The funds raised from this event will help to ensure RMHC Toronto can provide services in the House and across our Family Rooms to families when they need us and that the cost to families remains low – helping to ease the financial burden of being away from home.
Description
We are raising money for RMHC Toronto by participating in the Red Shoe Shuffle on October 29, 2023.
Please consider donating to our fundraising efforts to keep families with a seriously ill child together. Every dollar makes a difference. $183 raised supports one family for one night of comfort at RMHC Toronto.
The House, as its affectionately known keeps families with a seriously ill child together and close to the care they need and our Family Rooms of which there are seven in five regional hospitals provide family members with a place to rest and recharge in the hospital, just steps away from where their sick child is being treated.
The House accommodates 81 families and is located in downtown Toronto, just minutes from SickKids and Mt. Sinai Hospital and provides over 20 programs and services including a fully accredited school and food programming to help provide comfort and joy for families. We provide a home away from home for families that have to travel long distances and/or stay an extended amount of time so that their child can receive specialized care.
