Help Lisa raise money

Run for Barbara is a team I’m creating to honor my grandma who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. 

January 2014 we got the call no one ever wants to receive, my grandma Barbara was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

My grandma was the strong one, our rock, who kept our family together, I was hopeful God had a plan that did not include calling her home anytime soon. 

Barbara was surrounded by so much love and support. We threw her a big 65th birthday party March 23, 2014. We went on a week long camping trip to the redwoods July 2014 as she requested. On July 23, 2014 (her youngest sons birthday,my dad) I heard her tell me “I love you LeeLee” for the last time. As a family we filled her home that Saturday with love, laughter, and a great time. Sunday July 27, 2014 god called his beautiful angel home. We were devastated…. She was our friend, therapist, doctor, mother all in one.

We’ve found many way to honor her, keep her memory and love alive since we lost her, but I am choosing to also do a run for her. Grieving has no time limit and I’m still finding healthy ways to grieve my loss of my grandma.
