Help us raise money

Dear friends,

This Thanksgiving weekend, the Picard family will be participating in this year's Virtual Turkey Trot to raise money and awareness during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. You may or may not know that all three of the male elders in the family that Deb and Bill have known during their lifetime -- Otto E. Picard (1987), Otto R. Picard (2022) and William M. Cliff (2023) -- all had pancreatic cancer. We will walk in their honor.

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer. It frequently shows no symptoms until the late stages, which makes it hard to catch before it is too late. 

The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is 12% and has become the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in 18 states. This is unacceptable to Project Purple and our community and we are committed to finding early detection and supporting the patients and families that are faced with this disease.

We will be walking over Thanksgiving weekend to raise money and we hope you will support us, even minimally. Your support will allow Project Purple to send care packages and financial assistance to those battling, as well as advance research efforts for early detection.
