Our story…
A rare and fast-growing brain tumor unexpectedly took from us, our youngest son Brody. He chose to donate his spine and his brain to science in hopes that his generous contribution will help researchers find a cure for this tumor. He made his donation so that no other child or family would have to suffer through this again. Aligned with Brody’s integrity, we have created this Foundation in his name. Donations will go toward finding a cure.
2023 Triple Bypass our team raised over $10,000 and thanks to so many, Brody's Foundation sent our first $50K to Dr. Nicholas Vitanza and his Team at Seattle Children’s where they harvested T-cells from Brody with hopes of Brody joining their CAR-T trial. Brody's life was cut too short and unfortunately, he never made it back to start the trial.
The goal of Vitanza's Lab is to find new treatments that are both safe and curative for high-grade, aggressive pediatric brain and spinal cord tumors, such as Brody’s diffuse midline glioma H3 K27M (DMG). The Vitanza team continues to make strides with their research. Tumors are being reduced and kids are living longer while undergoing these treatments.
We appreciate your donations, none of which are too small.
