My Story…
Hi everyone! Thank you for your interest in helping us raise money for Cheering for Charlie! This nonprofit organization was created in January 2023 in honor of Charlie Wirtz, whose parents are my running friends and whose mom is one of my teaching colleagues.
Charlie was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 6 months old. After receiving an early diagnosis and doing lots of early intervention, Charlie's parents, Chuck and Chelsea Wirtz, saw Charlie's tremendous improvement and knew that they had to advocate for spreading the message about the importance of early diagnosis and intervention. Cheering for Charlie is passionate about helping other families and individuals dealing with an early CP diagnosis. We appreciate every donation, big and small! Thank you in advance for making a difference and helping this mission grow!
