Description

Help Women and Children Fleeing Domestic Violence 

For more than a century, YW has kept its doors open to women. We understand what women need, what their families need and our exceptionally skilled team ensures hundreds of thousands of women and their families have the opportunity, the ability and the resources they need to thrive.

A $25.00 donation can provide a full day of warm meals for a woman staying in our Emergency Shelter. When a women’s basic needs are met during a time of crisis, she can focus on healing and the next steps for wellness.

A $50.00 Donation can go towards purchasing transit tickets for YW clients who need to purchase groceries, attend job interviews, visit family or other important errands. Providing vulnerable women with safe transportation gives a much-needed sense of independence.

An $80.00 donation goes towards families arriving at our domestic violence shelter (they often arrive with nothing – sometimes they are even without shoes). This gift helps provide women and their children with new indoor shoes or boots, depending on their needs, when they arrive at our domestic violence shelter. 

A $100 donation can buy a woman and her children a week’s worth of delivered groceries and essential items while she is staying in YW’s transitional housing or domestic violence shelter. Women are empowered when they have the freedom to purchase what they need, when they need it.

A $200 donation can provide women and children a room at the shelter with all the their essentials. This gift can provide personal care items such as soap, bedding and other necessities for them to keep! Your gift will help provide a comfortable place to call home, which is instrumental in healing.
