Help Sydney raise money

This year I am fundraising for Discovery Family House here in Calgary. 

Discovery Family House is a cause specifically close to me given the resources it empowers families with to flee domestic violence. Specifically when given resources, women are more likely to leave domestic violence situations if they feel like they can survive on their own and have a safety net along with resources and support. Discovery house helps thousands of women and children flee and gives them a safe place to call home & services to help them heal and rebuild their lives  

Domestic violence inhibits women from being successful in work, receiving the help and counseling they need, affects their mental health and much more. 

In 2016, over 93,000 Canadians reported being victims of IPV (intimate partner violence), with 79% of these victims being women  

Discovery House allows the opportunity for women and children to live life free from the stress and threat of violence  

This cause is important to me & I look forward to running my half in support of it.
