Help Mackenzie raise money

So again this year Mack wants to fundraise for Cassie and Friends which is a fundraiser for children with JIA which he was diagnosed with last year. Last year Mack hiked troll falls and this year we are participating in the Calgary run/walk which will be held May 26. Mack appreciates any donation even the littlest amount. 

Mack is back playing soccer, hiking, skating, and went downhill skiing and really enjoyed it. These would not happened without his treatment. 

Mack has overcome many hurdles and is so happy to be a kid again and enjoy running and playing with friends. Mack still has a long journey ahead of him but has a more positive outlook seeing what his medication can do. 

From a parents perspective it was emotionally draining seeing our child in such pain. At the end of the day he could barely walk and some days needed carried to his room. With challenges in the healthcare system all we could do is fight and push for more and with the encouragement from a physiotherapist we got the process initiated by our doctor. Xrays, ultrasounds, blood work, MRI we got the answers and help we needed.  Soon after we were being seen by a rheumatologist with answers and a treatment plan. Our playful happy boy is back. His arthirits is currently controlled and we are working towards remission.
