Today, I reach out to you with a message that's deeply personal and one that touches on our collective humanity. It’s about empathy, compassion, and the inherent desire to help those in heart-wrenching situations—situations no family should face alone.

Almost every parent has felt that potent mix of love and fear when a child falls ill. For me, the journey has been profoundly personal; I’ve known the pain of loss and the heavy heartache it carries. It’s a pain that echoes in the corridors of hospitals and within the walls of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta—a haven for families experiencing the worst of times.

I have seen firsthand the resilience and grace of parents tending to sick children while far from the comforts of home. And so, with every ounce of my being, I believe in the mission of the Ronald McDonald House. They are more than a charity; they are a lifeline for families in their darkest hours, providing a home-away-from-home that keeps them close to the necessary care and support they desperately need.

To honor their strength and contribute to their journey, I've committed to running a half marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta. My goal is to gather $1,000 by May 26th, and I am asking you to join me in this effort.

Every breath we take is a moment to be grateful for the joy and freedom life offers—a freedom and joy that every child deserves unconditionally. Children are the embodiment of innocence and purity, and it's our duty to protect and nurture this gift.
