My Story…
How does an old guy get to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in all of Africa? With the support of many others who knew the way and wanted me to be successful; with the mutual encouragement of our son and friends on a shared adventure; by an every day commitment to be physically prepared; and when the journey began, one step at a time.
Support and guidance, peer encouragement, personal commitment. These are the things that Open Hand Ministries offers and asks of folks hoping for a different kind of summit experience.
I will be doing the Pittsburgh Marathon again this year raising funds for Open Hand Ministries. If you’d like to support this work that Nancy and I have been involved in for many years I would certainly appreciate it. David
