My Story…
The race does not go to the swift nor to the strong but to the one that endures until the end. This race is not about me. This race is about showing kindness to our fellow man, regardless of race or status. We are to live this. I see people who are less fortunate than I or others. I feel that it is my duty to serve and help them. I see and experience challenges that would make people run away but it takes strength and courage to face them head on. Let’s have each other’s back (and front) on this one. Stronger together.
I am running this time for Light of Life. Light of Life is an organization that is truly dedicated to taking care and loving on the homeless in our community. They truly show that everyone, regardless of financial status, is capable of being loved. I also live on this belief. All funds raised goes directly to them. Your help is greatly appreciated!!! My personal goal is to see $1,000 raised for this amazing charity. Every dollar counts! Going beyond this goal has happened, BUT let’s not stop there. I cannot thank you enough. Stronger together!

Since 1952, Light of Life Rescue Mission, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, continues to transform lives for women, children, men, and families experiencing homelessness, poverty and addiction. Light of Life is the place where hope and healing meet. We are igniting transformation through truth-based programming with our continuum of care and the love of Christ. Our goal is to restore those in need to healthy members of our community.
Last year, the impact we made together included:
- 500,000+ meals provided through our kitchen & food pantry
- 3,000 unique guests served through our emergency shelter
- 558 chapel services
- 22 Program graduates & completions
- 300,000 items distributed through our donations center
