This charity really speaks to me! Every girl should have an opportunity like this - to learn, grow, be active and strong, feel confident and proud, and be a part of a supportive community. I was incredibly lucky growing up to have this - my Papa coached softball for so many years as I was growing up and looking back on it, that team/community I grew up with and played sports with had an incredible positive impact on me. I wouldn't be who I am today without it. 

My goal is $300, and I will match up to $100 of donations. Every little bit counts. Please help me make a difference! <3

Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others. The programs are about so much more than running – they make an impact at a critical age when confidence and physical activity decline.

Girls on the Run of Magee-Womens Hospital serves over 1,500 girls annually.  Of those, approximately 40% request financial assistance in order to participate in our program, and 10% come from families with household incomes less than $20,000 and request full program scholarships. Your gift will help ensure that no girl is turned away due to her family's financial situation.
