Help Kaitlin raise money

Hello! This upcoming May, I will be running my first half marathon, and am so lucky to have wonderful people in my life supporting me in this endeavor. I could not do it without them!  

I have chosen to use this event as a way to raise funds for an organization that I believe is doing incredible work in the Pittsburgh area - For Better Life Ministries. They are a ministry whose mission is to help immigrant families find a better life in the city of Pittsburgh. As the granddaughter of immigrants, I have a deep respect for the courage necessary to seek a better life in a new city, despite the insurmountable challenges one may face. Today, this journey comes with both historically rooted and newly introduced barriers, which include learning a new language, providing for large families with scarce job opportunities, and integrating into a culturally different society. 

Any funds donated to my page will be directed exclusively to the social and financial support of refugee families in Pittsburgh. Part of the funds will be dedicated to support their rent payment, furnishing, purchase of winter clothing, and for emergency medical situations. Another part will help For Better Life establish a micro-loan borrowing system to encourage individuals to launch small businesses. 

I greatly appreciate any donations you can contribute! I am honored to be able to represent For Better Life and hope to do my part in improving the health and quality of life of my new neighbors in Pittsburgh!
