My Story…
For several years, my wife Alissa has served on the Board of Directors for Open Field, and I've been able to witness firsthand some of the great work that they are doing in the Pittsburgh region, in addition to the programs they are facilitating abroad in West Africa.
For this year's Pittsburgh Half Marathon, rather than just run for the hell of it, I'm hoping to add some motivation and simultaneously provide a positive impact through supporting Open Field's mission. Please consider a donation! Thanks in advance.
Description
Open Field's mission is to improve the lives and futures of youth through sport. Open Field connects with youth, primarily immigrants and refugees, in low resource neighborhoods in Allegheny County to improve health, support education, empower girls, build leadership skills, and promote peace through the global game of soccer.
