My Story…
I've always said that if I'm going to run a race, I might as well run for a reason. A reason bigger than myself and my goal of finishing in under 2 hours. A reason that helps others in a positive way, affecting their livelihood. That's why I have decided to Run for a Reason for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon again this year.
Light of Life Rescue Mission not only provides immediate physical assistance to those on the street, but they encourage and give hope with the love of Jesus to people mentally and spiritually.
Please pray for those who are experiencing homelessness. It can affect anyone, anywhere, at anytime. With the increasingly difficult economy and rising inflation, you or someone you love may be affected unexpectedly.
My goal is to raise at least $400 for Light of Life Rescue Mission by race day, Sunday, May 5th. Please consider donating $26, $2/per mile that I'm racing. If you are able to donate any amount, not only will I be incredibly grateful, but you'll be investing in the lives of those in our city that need it most.

Since 1952, Light of Life Rescue Mission, a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, continues to transform lives for women, children, men, and families experiencing homelessness, poverty and addiction. Light of Life is the place where hope and healing meet. We are igniting transformation through truth-based programming with our continuum of care and the love of Christ. Our goal is to restore those in need to healthy members of our community.

- 3,000 unique guests served through our emergency shelter
- 558 chapel services
- 22 Program graduates & completions
- 300,000 items distributed through our donations center
