My Story…
Hi!
I am running my second ever half marathon in Pittsburgh on May 5th! I decided to run for the Alzheimer’s Association due to how this disease has impacted grandparents in my life, particularly my maternal grandmother. It’s a progressive disease that is often caused by aging and destroys memory and other vital functions of the brain. There is no cure at this time.
She is such an amazing and independent woman and this disease has robbed some of those traits from her.
