Why I support The Pittsburgh Project
I had the opportunity to jump into the Pittsburgh half-marathon Sunday last minute and wanted to raise at least a little $ for an excellent Pittsburgh based charity! So psyched to run the Pittsburgh half-marathon again and love the mission of this Pittsburgh, Northside based charity! I met a kind and inspiring representative from the Pittsburgh Project a few weeks ago after a run a few weeks on the Northside from Mike's.
They help families and children in K-12 on the Northside by providing a fun and inspiring summer camp, tutoring & mentoring opportunities in a safe, educationally innovative, and inspiring environment. The kids are challenged to discover new talents through options that include a music studio, robotics, world cultures, art and more. You can read more by clicking the link. Volunteers also help with homework and day-to-day learnings and activities.
Thanks for reading. Super psyched to run one of the best and still growing marathons in the country. Any donation greatly appreciated.
