My Story…
Hi everyone!
Running this marathon is a challenge I chose to take on.
I might as well use this as an opportunity to support those who face challenges they didn't choose, and can use some support tackling them.
Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland connects youth (7-17) with volunteer mentors, to build resilience, provide a safe space, to listen and empower.
I will run in honor of my own Big Sister, who I miss every day.
I will run in honor of those who need one.
If you are feeling generous, please support this important cause.
Thank you so much!
Peace,
Silke
Description
Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland enable life changing mentoring relationships to inspire, ignite and unleash the power and potential of youth. Big Sisters core mentorship programs offer a safe space for self-identifying girls, non-binary, transgender and gender-diverse youth from the ages for 7-17 to work with caring mentors to realize their full potential.
It takes just one stable, committed adult in a young person’s life to make a difference. By matching youth with adult volunteers in quality one-to-one and group mentoring relationships, Big Sisters ensure girls and youth can access the support they need to build a brighter future.
Thank you for your generous support of Big Sisters BMO marathon runners. Your gift will help us ignite the potential of youth across the Lower Mainland.
