Hello! My name is Hilary and I have worked at the Y in Vancouver for nearly two years.
When I first came to the YMCA I was shy, felt like I had little community, and I was struggling with many different things in life. Overtime, I became comfortable in the Y environment, started to get to know the members and my co-workers, became more confident, and overall gained so much strength and resilience. Now, I feel that I belong here and I can see how much this community and all its critical resources means to our members.
If you are wondering just how wonderful the YMCA really is, I can tell you that I met my best friends here. Friends who have made a true difference in my life.
Giving to the YMCA means giving to community, resilience, and to helping families and individuals thrive.
