Mon histoire…
As most people know, our nephew Harrison passed away in Hong Kong in October 2022 due to a rare heart condition. He was only 17 months old. While Harrison never stepped foot on Canadian soil and didn't benefit from any of the world class health care providers here in Ottawa, we know for certain that he would have grown up to do great things and have a strong sense of community just like the rest of our family. This is how Harrison's Heroes came to be. Every year, Harrison's Heroes will be raising money for different charities that we feel have had a strong impact on our lives and the lives of our loved ones.
Last year, Harrison's Heroes raised almost $8,000 as part of the Desjardins Charity Challenge for the CHEO Foundation and this year we are back for another year of fundraising and spreading the love in support of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
The Heart Institute is an organization that has provided so much of their expertise and care to so many people in our circle of family and friends - including our mother and friend Jenny who both passed away in 2023.
This is our way of keeping Harrison's memory alive and to continue pouring ourselves into the community. We hope our story can influence you to support this amazing cause and that you'll follow along on our endless journey to support local/national organizations for years to come.
