We are in the middle of an extreme housing crisis in Ottawa. At the same time, we have seen a rise in rates of violence against women ever since the pandemic. There is an urgent need for safe, affordable housing for women and non-binary folks who are leaving violence and abuse. Interval House is working on a project to address this exact need. Interval House has operated an emergency shelter for women for decades, and they are now preparing to construct a 10 unit building that will provide women and their dependents with safe, supportive, transitional housing. All funds raised will go directly to this project!
