Exciting news — I'm running the half marathon at the Ottawa Race Weekend. I am passionate about contributing to the well-being of our community in the City of Ottawa, especially when it comes to the betterment of our youth. I am proud to be a board member and support the mission of Christie Lake Kids (CLK), an organization committed to enriching the lives of disadvantaged children. Their year-round community and camp programs, such as the Skills Through Arts and Recreation (STAR) initiative, play a crucial role in developing the physical, social, and character skills of children and youth aged 6-17.

The STAR program goes beyond traditional education by engaging children in various activities, including art, soccer, cooking, and music. These after-school and weekend programs, hosted at three local community centers, provide invaluable experiences that contribute to the holistic development of the participating youth.

Your contribution will directly support the continuation and expansion of the STAR and other CLK programs, allowing more children to access these life changing experiences.
