Once again I will be participating in the Ottawa Race Weekend, 10K. I am running to support my friend Sindy Hooper who is fighting for her life against pancreatic cancer. Since being diagnosed 12 years ago, Sindy has been educating people about the disease and advocating for research. She is responsible for raising over $500,000.00 for the Ottawa Hospital. No matter how much she is hurting, Sindy continues to support people on their fitness journey, and gives of her time to coach runners, cyclists and swimmers. She is an incredible inspiration.
