Notre histoire…
We are a mom and kid duo training for the 5K. This is our first race ever!
We are running for animals we love: puppies and aquatic species like otters, turtles, salamanders, and fish. So we've named our team "the Mudpuppies"!
We chose the name mudpuppies because they are the only completely aquatic salamander in Canada - and they have the word puppy in their name!
We are running together every 2-3 days to train for the big race. It's lots of fun to do this activity together, even though it's very hard work. It's especially hard because our legs are different lengths.
By donating to support the Mudpuppies, you'll be cheering us along on race day and during our training. Thank you! You'll also be supporting two charities we love: Ottawa Riverkeeper and the Ottawa Humane Society. Your donation will go directly to Ottawa Riverkeeper. If we reach our fundraising goal, we will donate $100 to the Ottawa Humane Society to help puppies.
