The 36th Annual Moon in June Road Race is a unique evening event in downtown Burlington. We have created an event for all ages, with our Rocca Sisters KidFest activity center, the Movati Meredith's Hero Kids 1K fun run for children age 1-12 years of age, Gordon's Great Grand K walk for seniors and supporters of our
charity Children's Aid Foundation of Halton along with our MNP 5k walk, 5k run, 10k run, through downtown Burlington. Post race activities include food, drinks, beer gardens, live band and awards.
Entries are limited, sign up quickly.
We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities if your organization would like to support our event and Radius Child and Youth Services. The MIJ is a 100% charity event.
Team and Group entry fee discounts are available for
groups of 6 or more.
Moon in June Entry Change Policy
In planning the MiJ, we work well in advance, placing orders, lining up suppliers and organizing the safety and care for all runners. As such we incur significant expenses prior to the actual event. This is ultimately why we are forced to limit refunds and changes to entries.
Our policy.
We offer a variety of options for participants once they determine they cannot join us on race day.
These options include:
Refund is available on entry fees based on the timing of the cancelation (note processing fees cannot be refunded) see timing below.
Deferral of the entry to the following year, again this is dependent on the timing of the cancellation, see below.
Transfer, we can allow a transfer of an entry to another person, when possible
Donation, the MiJ is a 100% charitable event, all proceeds are donated to Children’s Aid Foundation Halton. We can reroute your entry fee from the race to a donation to Radius.

Requests given 9 months or more prior to race day: All 4 options are available.
Requests given 3 months or more prior to race day: deferral, transfer and donation are available.
Requests given 30 days or more prior to race day: transfer and donation are available.
Request given 15 days or more, prior to race day, donation is available.
Requests given within 14 days of the race; sorry no options are available.

1km Movati Meredith's Hero Run for Kids
1 km Run for Kids - 2 year Wave starts for kids from 1 yr old (with an adult) to 12 years old - oldest start first. The route is south along Brant street then a quick turn North - Children will be within eye site of parents for 100% of the run

KIDSFEST AND KIDS FUN RUN
Our Rocco Sisters Kidsfest and Movati Meredith Hagen Hero Kids 1k Fun Run have been an integral part of our Moon in June festivities for 23 years. Bring the kids early to enjoy our many activities and attractions at the KidFest from 4:30 - 7:00pm. The Movati Meredith Hagen 1k Kids run begins (in waves) at 6:30. Make it a full evening of activity, with a medal and freezie for each finishers (along with pizza and a drink).

Registration and Bib number pick up
Pre Race Bib pick up and late registration is available Friday June 6th 2025 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at a location to be determined and Saturday "Race Day" at City Hall Burlington, 426 Brant Street from 1:00 pm -7:00 pm (come early it will be busy and there will be lots to do and watch!)

Age Restrictions
5K participants 8 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
10k participants 14 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Course
The Moon in June course is a flat fast one loop certified 5k and 2 loop certified 10km of downtown Burlington. The route highlights the fabulous Burlington Waterfront starting and finishing at the blue clock in front of City Hall. Participants are encouraged to make MIJ a family affair while supporting the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton.
All participants who register prior to May 18th will be given a Moon in June our custom MiJ t-shirt at registration package pick up, and a finishing medal.
Post Race
the Moon in June post race activities are second to none, enjoy a light post race meal, soft drinks and enjoy the live band and for those of age our beer gardens! (Your first beer is included in your race entry fee!)
