My Story…
Weston passed away last year from stage 4 colon cancer. By the time the cancer was found, it was too late. He passed away at 33 years old, too young to even be considered for colon cancer screening. Colon cancer is becoming more and more prevalent today especially in people in their 30s, yet it is not being screened or tested for until people are in their 50s. More research needs to be done in order to encourage screenings to be done on younger individuals and to find out why colon cancer seems to be on the rise, especially in younger healthy adults.
