My Story…
On October 6th The Butterfly Run Ottawa aims to raise awareness and support around pregnancy loss, infant loss, pregnancy after loss, and infertility in Ottawa and surrounding areas. All proceeds from the run are donated to Roger Neilson Children's Hospice (RNCH), an organization that provides families with a wide variety of support and services, including bereavement support for parents who have lost a child or baby.
Our son Hudson Murray Ross was born early in the morning on February 25th of this year. He weighed 7lbs and was absolutely perfect. He had contracted a lung infection sometime after being born that no one was aware of. Hudson tragically stopped breathing after we got home that evening. Hudson was declared dead at the hospital later that night.
Our grief for the loss of our youngest son continues to evolve, and will be present for the rest of our lives. We will be walking / running as a family in Hudson's name to raise awareness and support for infant loss.
