Our story…
We're a small team of active and retired CAF members, and civilians, that are coming together to raise funds for the soldiers in need - at home (Soldier On) and abroad (Mission2Ukraine).
Soldier On did not approve our request to co-fundraise and split donations made to our external fundraiser (T-shirt drive) for the 2024 M2UA Med-Surgical Supplies Campaign (for field hospitals in Ukraine)... so its a solo-campaign in the end!
100% of donations made here (Race Roster) will fund the Soldier On program. (note: Funds donated here are appreciated but don't include the "Supporter" shirt.)
Donors contributing to the M2UA project through our PayPal fundraiser on the website will receive a M2UA "Supporter" shirt (details at www.mission2ukraine.ca/support ) which is identical to team shirt or team we'll wear on the run.
An additional lump-sum donation will be made to Soldier On, on the day of the race-day if we exceed our M2UA fundraising goal.
Description
ADAPT. OVERCOME. SOLDIER ON.
Each year we gather as the CFB Esquimalt community to come together to get outside and be active with our loved ones. This year we will be doing this virtually, being active together at home while supporting the ill/ injured CAF community in their desire to adapt, overcome, and Soldier On.
Soldier On is the most direct way for Canadians to contribute to supporting the recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration of members with a physical and/or mental illness or injury through the transformative power of sport, activity, and creative pursuits.
You will assist:
- Participants in attending themed sport and activity events to introduce participants to new ways that they can be active in their daily lives while building a community of understanding and comradery.
- In providing equipment grants for participants to purchase a piece of equipment that will help them engage in and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
