Almost exactly 16 years later…. As I have watched friends and family  beat, live with and be beaten by cancer  … I can’t think of a more personal way to challenge myself in support of the amazing and life saving research and treatments that takes place in our own backyard at Hillman Cancer Center . 

Cancer is quiet, cancer is personal, and cancer comes for you or people you love when you least expect it.   It doesn’t care if you are raising a family, celebrating a wedding or the birth of a first grandchild, it doesn’t care of you are an avid runner it comes for you… and leaves your “people” feeling helpless.  We cope by making meals, driving to appointments, and prayers.   

While all of these activities are helpful, what we need is more research, more care centers, more treatments … and that needs financial support. 

I’d like to invite you to help me channel some of my energy into my ride to support Hillman Cancer Center.
