My Story…
Hi Friends,
For the 2nd year in a row, I will be racing in this charity 5k run. Most of you know how much I love running and what it has given me, mentally and physically.
Working at ICBC as an Injury Adjuster, I see the struggles so many face when impacted by permanent injuries. Not only do people have to work on their physical recovery but they also have to focus on their mental recovery. The conversations you have with people when they know that their life as they know it has fundamentally changed is profoundly difficult, often they are not focused on themselves but the loved ones they care for. I am proud of the work ICBC does to ensure people have the resources they need to get better mentally, physically, and in other aspects of their life.
I am raising money for Spinal Cord Injury BC who take this support to the next level through community, peer to peer support and resources for loved ones. I know so many who have shown incredible strength and perseverance when faced with life altering injuries but they shouldn't be expected to do it alone. The Spinal Cord Injury BC ensures no one is alone and everyone gets the support they need to live up to their full potential.
I hope you can donate, big or small, to support this wonderful organization.
Sincerely,
Dimitri
