My Story…
I can’t believe it’s been a little over 14 years since I was diagnosed with Hemiplegic Migraines. The first year was really rough my family and myself not knowing what to expect life was going to be like for me. In 2011 I went to Houston, Tx to have Nerve Decompression Surgery on my head to relieve the migraines. It helped for about year or so. Maybe even longer. I still had the migraines just not as severe. They came back with a vengeance. Currently I receive nerve blocks every three weeks and Botox every three months. It’s a regimen that I make sure is scheduled correctly and not missed. I try to eat as healthy and clean as possible. Positive thoughts and prayers are a must. This is the third year my family has participated in the Miles for Migraines Foundation!! I’m very thankful for my family for all their love and support they have given me throughout the years.
