My Story…

The amazing Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto will always hold a very special place in our family’s hearts. And we fully recognize the power of ‘every penny counts’ and the compound effect of people coming together, which is why I will forever choose SickKids as my recipient when fundraising for races.

After our daughter, Mabel, was born with severe HIE in December 2021, she was transferred to SickKids NICU and cared for so compassionately by the staff, doctors and nurses there for approximately one month, including over Christmas. By saving her life, they unknowingly saved all of our lives.

We are eternally grateful for every person who played a role in our story, from the doctors, to the nurses, the specialists, the receptionists, the porters - everyone.

Mabel is now a thriving two and a half year old who, against all odds, runs around, plays, jumps on the trampoline, swims as much as she can, dances constantly and loves swings!

Success stories give hope, and everyone deserves to feel hopeful in their darkest moments. Donations, big and small, can make a huge difference to the care SickKids is able to provide. Thank you for your support - in whatever way or capacity that looks like.

I am running in the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon and raising funds to support SickKids Foundation.

Donations will support the hospital as they embark on a journey to revolutionize care through Precision Child Health. Every kid is one-of-a-kind.
