My Story…
A little over a year ago I got the privilege to witness first hand the SickKids team's magic as they saved a little baby who was then in a desparate situation. Since this transformative experience, SickKids continued to amaze and inspire me and the entire rare disease community alike ! Working for the betterment of rare disease patients can sometimes feel like an endless and enduring quest, like running a marathon. As i hit the Toronto pavement next weekend , I'll be thinking about the possibilities to leave no rare disease patient behind to give me strength and grit. Your contributions to the cause will only fuel my comitment to keep up strong and pass the finish line, hopefully achieve a personal best, and more importantly support an extraordinary team of clinicians, researchers, staff and people who make wonders happen everyday ...one step at a time.
Description
I am running in the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon and raising funds to support SickKids Foundation.
Donations will support the hospital as they embark on a journey to revolutionize care through Precision Child Health. Every kid is one-of-a-kind. So they deserve more than on-size-fits-all healthcare. Precision Child Health is healthcare tailored specifically to kids. With your help, SickKids can DIAGNOSE FASTER. TREAT SMARTER. PREDICT BETTER.
