Why I'm raising funds to rescue cats and kittens in need...

I’ve always loved cats and this year have found a love for running, so I thought why not bring the two together and run the Toronto Marathon for Toronto Cat Rescue! Anyone who knows me has probably been bombarded with stories and/or photos of my rescue cats, Raven & Luna. I’m the quintessential crazy cat lady, and not ashamed to admit it. Raven emigrated with us from Ireland, and Luna is a Toronto native. I’m itching to rescue more, but I think being outnumbered by cats probably needs to wait until we don’t live in a shoebox!

I first came into contact with TCR when we adopted Luna in March 2022, 2 months after arriving in Toronto, and have volunteered with them since shortly after. It really is an amazing organisation, saving the lives of so many cats. I’d appreciate any donation, every little helps! I’m not sure what I’m thinking running a marathon after only starting to run this year, but I’m looking forward to the journey and seeing what I can do.

Toronto Cat Rescue saves and finds ‘forever homes’ for over 2,500 cats each year! They believe every cat deserves a second chance at finding a loving home, and together we're here to help them get there.
