Why I'm raising funds to rescue cats and kittens in need...
Hello friends,
I am thrilled to announce that I will be participating in a 5K race this October to raise funds for Toronto Cat Rescue, a cause very close to my heart. Over the years, I have rescued many wonderful cats who, without the support of organizations like Toronto Cat Rescue, might have faced a life on the streets, uncared for and vulnerable. In 2016, I fostered an adorable and spirited cat named Rosie through Toronto Cat Rescue. Rosie had many trust issues, but with time and patience, she let down her guard and became one of the cuddliest cats I've ever known. I couldn't bring myself to uproot Rosie again, so I adopted her. Rosie was with me for 4 wonderful years but sadly, she passed away in 2020. I have continued to rescue cats in her memory. This cause means the world to me, and I am passionate about ensuring that every cat like Rosie has a chance to find a loving home.
Participating in this race is also an important part of my personal journey toward better health. After some less than ideal health test results last year, I decided to take serious steps to improve my lifestyle and become physically fit. The last time I ran this 5K was in 2018, so this race is a personal milestone for me as I work towards regaining my fitness.
Running this 5K is not just about raising funds; it's about proving to myself that I can overcome health challenges and work towards a healthier, more active life. By supporting me in this race, you will not only be helping countless cats in need but also encouraging my personal health journey.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference. Together, we can provide care, love, and shelter to cats who desperately need it. Thank you for your generosity and support!
