My Story…
I am taking on my first half marathon tomorrow. Wow, how is it already tomorrow? Do you know why I have waited for the last minute to start fundraising? It's clearly not because I am not passionate about the cause - it affects my life daily, and it is really close to heart. It's because of something called time blindness - something a lot of people with ADHD experience when we are unable to accurately predict how long something will take. It can be challenging to navigate, especially without informed support. I am fundraising in support of Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada, because I want all of us neurodivergent folks to have equal opportunities to succeed, and to get the support we need to achieve our full potential. This race is going to be a physical challenge for me, but I am determined to finish, and feed my brain some oxygen in the process. Please donate if you are able, or spread the word - October is ADHD awareness month.
